(Detroit, MI) – Comerica Park has been the name for the home of the Detroit Tigers since it opened in 2000, but the sale of Comerica Bank might cause a change. Fifth Third Bank purchased Comerica yesterday for ten-point-nine-billion-dollars in an all-stock deal. Comerica Bank will rebrand by late 2026 or early 2027 as Fifth Third Bank and has the naming rights for the Major League Baseball stadium through 2034.
Comerica Bank CEO Curt Farmer says the stadium name won’t change in 2026, but it is possible in 2027.
