(Lansing, MI) – Governor Whitmer says free breakfast and lunch for all public school students will continue. The budget for the current fiscal year has not yet been passed by the House and Senate, but she and legislative leaders say it will have money for the free meals.

A letter sent to school districts from Whitmer and state school superintendent Michael Rice says Republicans and Democrats have agreed on “key elements of the school aid bill” and free school meals are among them.
