(Holland, MI) – A Holland battery plant is closing abruptly today with 37 people being laid off. Natron Energy Incorporated says in its Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, or WARN, letter to the state that it is shutting down the manufacturing plant in Holland and its California facility. The letter was filed August 28th with the state and said they had been trying to get enough business to stay open.
WOOD TV 8 reports that Natron says they were unable to give 60 days advance notice of the plant closing because they were actively seeking business as of August 27th
