(Lansing, MI) – The Michigan House has passed a 78-billion-dollar budget for Fiscal Year 2026 on a 59-to-45 vote to set up negotiations with the state Senate, which passed its budget this spring. House Speaker Matt Hall of Richland says their budget includes three-point-four-billion-dollars for roads without raising taxes.
Wood TV 8 reports that the Senate budget, however, was passed before the federal budget bill was approved and slashes state funding, Medicaid, and more. The House plan also has 100-million-dollars for public safety.
