(Washington, DC) – National Guard troops in Washington DC are now authorized to carry firearms. Troops deployed to the nation’s capital as part of President Trump crackdown on crime will continue to focus their work on protecting federal assets and providing a safe environment. Meanwhile, Trump is turning his attention to Baltimore, threatening to send troops to “Charm City.” In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that Maryland Governor Wes Moore’s record on crime “is a very bad one,” and said he’ll send troops to the city if he thinks it needs help.
There’s also been reporting that Trump wants to send federal troops to the streets of Chicago.
