(Lansing, MI) – The Michigan Association of Health Plans is predicting the state will need to spend 200-million-dollars more for Medicaid in Fiscal Year 2026 than this year. The MAHP says that is due to federal cuts to Medicaid and they applauded House Speaker Matt Hall conceding the Medicaid budget will need to be larger.
In Fiscal Year 2019, the state spent 18-point-two-billion-dollars on Medicaid, with that rising to just under 23-billion in 2023.
