Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – The City of Grand Haven meets tonight at City Hall. On the agenda for tonight a Purple Heart Community Proclamation led by Chris Petras.
Across the country, several local governments have enacted proclamations establishing themselves as Purple Heart Communities in recognition and honor of military servicemen and women who were wounded in action, died of wounds received in action or were killed in action. The City of Ferrysburg recently did in July of this year.
Mayor Monetza will open the public hearing regarding a resolution to vacate a portion of the right-of-way between 233 Washington Ave.
Consideration by City Council of an introductory resolution to amend the zoning ordinance to permit short term rentals by special land use in the Centertown Overlay of the Neighborhood Mixed-Use district. Planning Commission recommends approval.
Council will also consider a resolution to approve a New Event request from the Grand Haven Elks Lodge to host a Pulaski Days celebration on September 27th, 2025, utilizing the Southern half-block of 3rd Street in front of their building at 15 South 3rd Street, Grand Haven, Michigan 49417.
