(Traverse City, MI) – Two of the bystanders who prevented Bradford Gille from leaving the Walmart parking lot near Traverse City on Saturday after Gille allegedly stabbed eleven people say he appeared to be panicked. Matt Kowalski locked eyes with Gille and says the 42-year-old “seemed like he was out of this world.” He and his brother-in-law Chris O’Brien were at the store for vacation supplies and ran to confront the suspect, with O’Brien recording the confrontation.
Kowalski says the suspect was saying everyone in the store was bad and needed to die.
