(Undated) –A little more than half of adults admit they’ve relieved themselves in a swimming pool. The numbers are from a survey by the Pool And Hot Tub Alliance in an effort to promote pool safety. Urinating in a pool isn’t a great practice, but not because of the risk of getting sick from diseases or germs, that’s actually very low.
Instead, the reaction of urine with chlorine can create chemicals that make pool water more irritating.
