(Detroit, MI) – U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents have removed crew members from at least five cruise ships on the Great Lakes. Travel Weekly reports nine were removed from the Viking Octantis and 15 from the Viking Polaris, and Victory I and Victory II were also impacted when docked at the Port of Detroit. Pearl Seas Cruises also tells Travel Weekly that its Pearl Mist ship on the Great Lakes was also raided by Customs and Border Protection.
Victory says the workers are hired through third parties and all had valid work visas and were clear to enter and work in the U.S.
