By Mary Ellen Murphy Jul 22, 2025 | 6:45 AM

(Undated) — More than half of Americans believe the recently passed ‘big, beautiful bill’ will increase their health-care costs. According to a new CBS/YouGov poll, 57-percent of respondents said Republican’s sweeping package will increase their health-care costs while 13-percent said it will lower their health-care costs and 33-percent said there will be no impact. Polling results also found six in ten respondents disapprove of the megabill which permanently extends many temporary tax cuts and made deep spending cuts to Medicaid, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and other welfare programs.

Fifty-six-percent of those surveyed also say they tie issues regarding the megabill significantly to how they evaluate President Trump’s second term.
