(Grand Rapids, MI) – The Environmental Protection Agency is giving the Great Lakes Fishery Commission a grant of just over two-point-one million dollars to battle sea lamprey in the Grand River. The money will be used to create and roll out a plan to control the lamprey, help native fish recover, and design a new state-of-the-art barrier.
Congresswoman Debbie Dingell says the barrier on the Grand River will protect over four-thousand miles of waterways in the state.
