Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Grand Haven City Council meets tonight at 7:00 p.m. It’s a light agenda. Derek Gajdos, City Project Management Director will give a presentation on Harbor Island.
A new event is on the agenda called Airport Fly In, to take place from August 1-3, 2025, at the Grand Haven Municipal Airport. City is set to approve overnight camping on City property for participating pilots.
Pilots from across Michigan are invited to fly into Grand Haven Memorial Airpark and take part in a community-building weekend. The event is being organized by Tricia Harrell, with support from Skydive Grand Haven, the Grand Haven Aviation Association, and the local Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). Expected attendance includes approximately 10 transient single-engine aircraft for overnight stays.
