(Wayne, MI) – A security guard shot and killed a gunman at a church in Wayne, Michigan this morning. Police responded to reports of an active shooter at CrossPointe Community Church in suburban Detroit about 11 a.m. Officers arrived at the scene and found the suspect dead and one other person wounded in the leg. No other injuries were reported and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
The church had just wrapped up a special service when the gunfire erupted.
