(Lansing, MI) – The office of Attorney General Dana Nessel carried out search warrants yesterday at the Lansing headquarters of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. MEDC spokesman Otis McKinley called the actions “unwarranted and unnecessary” and added he had no more to say. The Attorney General’s spokesman, Danny Wimmer, tells MIRS News they also searched a private home in Farmington Hills as part of the investigation.
That home belongs to Fey Beydoun, who is under investigation for receiving a grant from MEDC while serving on their Executive Committee and using part of it to buy a coffee maker for 45-hundred-dollars.
