(Holland, MI) – Staff of the Felt Estate near Holland are putting together the history of the grounds that once held St. Augustine Seminary High School, where the man who became Pope Leo XIV last week graduated high school in 1973. Reverend Thomas Franks remembers the classmate they knew then as Bob Prevost, who was one grade below him, and Felt Estate executive director Elizabeth McEwen says they have been connecting with former students and their families in the last several days.

McEwen says she has been told the grounds in Allegan County will become part of a pilgrimage now that the first American pope has been selected. Franks says the classmate who is now pope was always helping others and was very patient.
