Longtime MLB Outfielder Chet Lemon Dead At 70

(Detroit, MI) – Longtime MLB outfielder Chet Lemon is dead at the age of 70. His wife told the Detroit Free Press that he died in his sleep Thursday morning. Lemon dealt with a number of health issues over the years including a number of strokes that took away his ability to talk and walk. He played for the Chicago White Sox from 1975 to 1981 and then was with the Detroit Tigers from 1982 to 1990.

Lemon won the World Series with the Tigers in 1984 and was a three time All Star.
