Residence Inn By Marriott proposed for downtown Grand Haven

Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Grand Haven Planning Commission met Tuesday evening. 6PM Hospitality Partners based in Zeeland gave a presentation on a new 128-room Residence Inn by Marriott at 233 Washington Ave. in downtown Grand Haven.

CEO of 6PM Hospitality Partners, Peter Beukema said that the Residence Inn by Marriott. Residence Inn is an extended-stay brand by Marriott, and will help capture guests to stay a long time and spend time and their resources in the restaurants and shops throughout downtown Grand Haven.

Fox 17 reports that plans are still in the early stages and the planning commission is asking to address their concerns before moving forward.

6PM Hospitality Partners says that the engineering and architecture demolition would probably start late fall to mid winter. They then will begin into the actual construction. The timeline is about 14 months. The hotel should open in March or April of 2027
