(Lansing, MI) – Michigan’s five-point-four-percent unemployment rate for the month of February is the second-highest in the U.S. Michigan and California are tied for second behind Nevada’s five-point-eight-percent jobless rate. The Great Lakes State also had the largest jump in unemployment compared to last February, going up one-point-four-percent. South Dakota has the nation’s lowest unemployment rate at one-point-nine-percent.
Here in Ottawa County the unemployment rate for January 2025 remains the third lowest in the state.
