(Jackson, MI) — Tens of thousands of residents and businesses in west Michigan are without power from the storm that hit Sunday. Consumers Energy’s Katie Carey says they have damage assessment crews out now.
Katie Carey of Consumers Energy says it will take several days to get power restored from Sunday’s severe storms.
Consumers Energy says nearly 23-thousand are without power in Kent County, 13-thousand in Calhoun County, and nine-thousand in Kalamazoo County. Those numbers are as of 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Consumers Energy says a total of around 130-thousand in the state lost power. The utility says it will likely be several days before everyone has their power restored.
