Grand Haven, MI 9WGHN) – An update on Chinook Pier was given at Monday’s city council meeting. Assistant City Manager Dana Kollewehr says meetings have been taking place with Copper Rock the firm picked to develop the site.
Kollewehr says there will be no surprises. plan has active green space and a waterfront center with a multi use market as well. In 2020 the businesses on the Chinook Pier were closed and the buildings demolished after black mold was discovered. A development agreement will be presented to council soon.
Kollewehr says they still are on track for construction to begin this year.
Also at Monday’s meeting City Manager Ashley Lastch say the budget work session is scheduled for Tuesday April 15th.
