(Grand Rapids, MI) – A Grand Rapids priest has been kicked out of his church and stripped of his license after imitating Elon Musk’s controversial salute. The Reverend Calvin Robinson is no longer with St. Paul’s Anglican Catholic Church on Lake Michigan Drive as of today, after a video surfaced showing him mimicking the arm gesture Musk made at President Trump’s inauguration, which was critiqued for looking like a Nazi salute.
Robinson responded to backlash over the video saying, quote, “I am not a Nazi. But I forgive you of your ignorance. My heart goes out to you” which also reflects what Musk said on Inauguration Day.
