(Muskegon, MI) – A Muskegon animal shelter is going to be represented in the Puppy Bowl for the second-straight year. Rory is a Siberian Husky/American Pit Bull Terrier mix at Big Lake Humane Society. Shelter officials say Rory was part of a litter of puppies that arrived with their mother last summer. Last year, a beagle mix named Dolly Barkon took the “field” for Big Lake Humane Society. Puppy Bowl airs live each year on Animal Planet on Super Bowl Sunday to help raise awareness of adopting shelter pets. Big Lake Humane Society is hosting a “Puppy Bowl Watch Pawty” on Sunday, February 9th at the Dirty Dog Bar and Grill in Muskegon.

The shelter’s Facebook page says a “Tail-Gate Pawty” begins at noon and Puppy Bowl 21 “kicks off” at 2 p.m.
