Fruitport Twp., MI (WGHN) – Costco Wholesale Corporation has purchased a former golf course site in Fruitport Township. Cherette Group based in Grand Haven, announced the sale Thursday.
Founder and CEO Denny Cherette told News 8 that Costco has purchased about 32 acres of the 115-acre golf course site located off Harvey Street near US-31.
In addition to the new Costco, The Cherette Group says that in less than five years, the group has developed or is in the process of developing all but 2 acres of the site. That will feature in addition to the planned Costco — more than 160 homes, nearly 220 apartments, a church and parcels for office and retail uses.
