(Grand Rapids, MI) – Every single American Freight store, including the ones in western Michigan, are closing. American Freight’s parent company recently filed for bankruptcy, and said all 370 stores across the country will close. That means stores in Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, Muskegon, and Portage will close their doors. American Freight sold furniture and appliances, and the company says it simply couldn’t keep-up with rising prices and shrinking sales.
Many stores have already closed. There’s no word just how many people in western Michigan are losing their jobs.
