Grand Haven, MI – The Grand Haven Area Community Foundation (GHACF)has officially opened their new space at 6 Sherman Avenue and recently invited community
members to join them for a ribbon cutting and open house.
On August 20, the GHACF welcomed the public to take a tour, enjoy refreshments, and meet and
greet the Foundation team.
“We are grateful for the support we received in the acquisition and revitalization of our new home,” said GHACF President Hadley Streng. “It provides a larger and more innovative space to
accommodate future growth of the organization, as well as allow for collaborative work with partners to expand services and programs that will further benefit the community.”
The former City of Grand Haven Water Filtration and Distribution Facility was initially converted to office space in the early 2000’s and the GHACF purchased it in 2023. The building includes office and meeting areas, outdoor space, and future incubator space for assisting new and growing nonprofit, for-impact partners. Upon entering, visitors will notice engraved bricks throughout the walkway signifying the generosity of contributors who supported the Foundation’s move and renovations. Bricks will be engraved on an annual basis for anyone wanting to purchase one in the future.

“The Foundation’s steadfast commitment to strengthening our community and dedication to helping all those who live within it has made a lasting impact on us all, and will for generations to
come,” stated Keith Konarska, GHACF Board Chair. “I’m proud to serve the Foundation and look forward to celebrating this milestone with community members.”
