(GRAND HAVEN)-When the north end of Grand Haven was revitalized many years ago, a hotel was one potential use discussed for the site.

During tonight’s Grand Haven City Planning Commission meeting, developers will present designs on such a structure.

A combined Hampton Inn & Home2 Suites with 131 rooms is proposed for US-31 & Adams Street along the Grand River.

The four-story site would also feature a 332-space parking lot.

The hotel concept, presented by Elite Hospitality, must first gain approval from the Grand Haven City Planning Commission before it can be considered by the City Council, which will have the final say.

Elite Hospitality is also the management group for the nearby Spring Lake Holiday Inn.
