(FRUITPORT)-Costco is finally coming to Fruitport.
The new store, complete with a gas station, will be located at 6072 S. Harvey St, just south of the Lakes Mall and a short drive north of the Pontaluna Road intersection.
Last year, Costco considered moving to Fruitport but opted to hold off construction until an unspecified date.
The chain contacted Fruitport Township officials last week and said they were ready to proceed with the project.
The Planning Commission has already approved Costco’s design.
The site will also have a new traffic signal installed at the crossing of Farr Road and South Harvey.
The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2025.
The nearest Costco locations are currently Grand Rapids and Grandville.
