Nichole Hudson Named Director of Public Safety

Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) –  The City of Grand Haven has named Nichole Hudson its next Director of Public Safety. By unanimous decision, City Council confirmed the appointment of Hudson at their meeting on July 1st. Hudson has extensive experience in public safety, having served the Grand Haven community for over 21 years in various capacities.

Hudson started her career with the City as a parking cadet in 2002, and has diligently risen among the ranks over her career, serving as a PSO, Sergeant, and most recently as Lieutenant of Operations and Investigations. Hudson places a high priority on education and training and looks forward to further fostering a culture of collaboration and strong community engagement within the Department of Public Safety.

City Manager Latsch commends Hudson for her years of outstanding service, offering complete confidence in the direction she will take the Grand Haven Department of Public
Safety.

A public open house to “Meet the New Director” will be held on Wednesday July 10 from 5:00-7:00 p.m at Central Park Place, and all are welcome.
