Ottawa County Third Lowest Unemployment Rate in the State

West Olive, MI (WGHN) – Preliminary unemployment rates for March 2024 were recently released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. Ottawa County had an unemployment rate of 3.0%, the third lowest of all counties in Michigan. Rates across the state ranged from 2.7% in Livingston County to 17.8% in Mackinac County.

Seventy-six counties in Michigan, including Ottawa County, saw their unemployment rates decrease from February to March. Since the start of 2024, unemployment rates have decreased in 75 counties.
