Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Firefighters responded to reports of smoke inside The Paisley Pig Gastropub early Tuesday afternoon. The restaurant was evacuated after staff and diners noticed a strong smell and smoke inside the building. Firefighters were on the scene around noon to address the situation and identify the cause of the smoke.

Capt. Lee Adams of the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety tells the Grand Haven Tribune that it was motor shorted out in the furnace and that caused it to overheat.

Adams said that there was no other damage to the building.
