(Lansing, MI) – There’s a direct correlation between child abuse and paid family leave. That’s according to a new study by Michigan State University, which found that parents who get paid family leave are less likely to abuse their children.

The study compared states with paid family leave to those without from 2002 through the pandemic using data from the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System.
