(Grand Rapids, MI) — Former Grand Rapids Congressman Peter Meijer is out of the race for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate. Meijer withdrew just before the 4 p.m. deadline for filing for an office and his exit leaves just four GOP candidates in the August primary. Those four are former Congressmen Mike Rogers and Justin Amash along with Dr. Sherry O’Donnell and Sandy Pensler.

Rogers has the endorsement of former President Donald Trump and is the frontrunner in the polls.
