(Detroit, MI) – Detroit shattered the record for attendance at the NFL Draft this weekend. The city brought in 775-thousand fans for the event, and Mayor Mike Duggan says it was unexpected to see that many people. Duggan added he had never heard so many people from the Detroit suburbs referring to “we” for the entire city. He called it a spectacular team effort to make sure things came together smoothly.

The Lions selected six new players in the NFL Draft, which wrapped up on Saturday. Day three saw the Lions add two offensive linemen, a running back and LSU defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo. In all, the Lions added three on offense and three on defense during the three-day draft.
