(Mackinac Island, MI) – Tourism season on Mackinac Island officially opens today. While the ferries have been operating all year for full-time residents, most of the hotels and attractions are opening today for the year.
Mackinac Island is known for its horses and bicycles, a ban on cars and trucks with the exception of emergency vehicles, fudge, and the Grand Hotel.
