(Georgetown Township, MI) – Voters in the Jenison Public Schools district are being asked on May 7th to approve a 117-million-dollar bond that would pay for a new elementary school and modernize existing buildings. Superintendent Brandon Graham says they are using spaces for classrooms that were not meant to be instructional spaces and their preschool building is “bursting at the seams” as Governor Whitmer is talking about universal preschool for all children.

He says the bond proposal will not change the current property tax rate of eight-point-five-mills. The new elementary would open in the fall of 2029 if approved.
