(Norton Shores, MI) – The Muskegon County Parks Department is receiving a grant to do restoration projects at a local park. The Consumers Energy Foundation gives out grants through its Planet Awards annually and has selected the Muskegon County Parks Department as one of this year’s recipients. The 250-thousand-dollar grant will be used to cover restoration projects at Dune Harbor Park in Norton Shores.
Some of those projects will include planting native foliage for pollinators and to continue the development of the park’s trail system.
