(Ottawa, MI) – Police are giving an update after an unknown caller threatened violence at West Ottawa High School. Deputies investigating are saying the threats are unfounded. A spokesperson from the sheriff’s office said that they believe the call was influenced by the time of year as another fake call also came into a high school in Holland.
Detectives continue to investigate the source of the threatening phone call and anyone with information can contact the Sheriff’s Office or Silent Observer.
The Sheriff’s Office is grateful for the cooperation of school adminastrators who worked closely with us during this incident and for parents’ patience as we worked to ensure a safe dismissal.
