(Berlin Township, MI) – Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough says a 66-year-old woman has been arrested for drunk driving after she crashed into a birthday party for a child Saturday afternoon. Two children, an eight-year-old girl and her five-year-old brother, were killed and died at the scene. Nine other people are hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. That includes three other children.
The crash happened at Swan Creek Boat Club and Flat Rock Community Schools superintendent Andrew Brodie says one of the three children injured is a sibling of the two who were killed. No names have been released.
