Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Shawn Haff has announced his candidacy to run for Ottawa County Commissioner in District 6. The seat is currently held by Kendra Wenzel who has announced she will run as well. Haff is running as a Republican.
“I cannot idly stand by and watch the mismanagement by the Ottawa Impact majority on Ottawa County Board of Commissioners and its impact on our county operations”, Haff
said. “Remember that County Commissioners have two jobs, one is to hire the most effective and qualified administrator and the other to approve a budget. The Ottawa Impact majority on the commission has failed to do either of those things well,” Haff added.
Shawn is a husband, a business owner (attorney by trade), and a 40-year resident of Ottawa County. Shawn is a Christian, a pro-life supporter, a defender of liberty with a strong belief in upholding the Constitution.
“District 6 needs a true conservative. My allegiance is to the citizens of District 6 and NOT Ottawa Impact. I will fight for government transparency and accountability, to reduce the size of government, protect the rule of law, honor all people equally and use common sense in deliberations,” Haff noted.
