(Grand Rapids, MI) – First Lady Jill Biden is coming to Grand Rapids next week. Doctor Biden will be in town to speak at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation’s Annual First Ladies Luncheon next Friday. The First Lady was asked to speak at the event due to her creating the first ever White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research.
This year, the event will highlight the 50th anniversary of Betty Ford being diagnosed with breast cancer, which escalated the conversation on women’s health in America.
