(Newaygo County, MI) – A new case of the highly pathogenic avian influenza, or bird flu, is being confirmed at a Newaygo County poultry farm. The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development says the new case is now the seventh time bird flu has been confirmed in Michigan since 2022.
At the Newaygo County poultry farm, the facility is under quarantine and the birds will be killed to prevent further spread.
