Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – Mayor Bob Monetza of the City of Grand Haven checks in on the Monday’s where there is a City Council meeting. We talked about what’s on the agenda such as a Coast Guard Festival Presentation and more.  Mary Ellen asked what happened to the Sasquatch cut out that was in front of Dewey Hill.

They also discussed two current surveys the public needs to take:

Data gathering and community visioning around Harbor Island is underway, beginning with a community survey open until March 31.

Harbor Island is home to the former J.B. Sims site, wetlands, boat launch, soccer fields, Linear Park and much more. Help us envision the future of the study area highlighted in the map below by sharing your thoughts, priorities, and ideas in this survey. Feedback from this survey, visioning sessions, and public meetings will inform potential reuse concepts for the outlined study area.
