(GRAND HAVEN)-Trinity Hospital workers in Grand Haven are planning an Unfair Labor Practice strike for Friday, August 4th, during the Coast Guard Festival. After seven months at the bargaining table, Union workers and Trinity have failed to negotiate a new deal.
Workers chose August 4th as the strike date, given the influx of people into town for the festival. They feel the larger audience would highlight their dealings with the health organization and their importance to the community.
Two more bargaining sessions are planned before the strike.
