Grand Haven, MI (WGHN) – The man who caused staff at Grand Haven’s City Hall to fear for their safety was not charged with anything on Wednesday after city hall went into lockdown.

Douglas Wilson, 35, of Muskegon was arrested Tuesday for violations of city ordinance after he erected a tent at City Hall and refused to take it down. The following day Wilson went back to the department to take possession of his property. After retrieving his property, Wilson removed a rifle case from his car and began paced the parking lot. GHDPS Director of Public Safety Jeff Hawke, says no laws were violated and it is not known what was in the case.

Last year Wilson protested his custody case by camping at Grand Haven’s Central Park which now is against the law.
