(Lansing, MI) – The Michigan Senate is working to keep drivers focused on the road by approving a new hands free driving bill. The bill would make it illegal to hold a phone while driving, unless the driver is using a hands free device or there is an emergency. The bill has already passed the state House and now the Senate, which means it will go back to the House for final approval. If passed, Michigan would become the 26th state to enact a hands free driving policy.

The policy could start next month.
