Over the weekend, management of the venue, which has served as the home of the Detroit Lions since 2002, announced it was terminating its contract with Pepsi.
Effective immediately, when you have a soft drink at Ford Field, it will be from the Coca-Cola family of beverages.
The Lions are in partnership with a Detroit area distributor, Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling.
The NFL club does have a history with the soda giant.
Coke was the official soft drink of the Lions during their time at the Pontiac Silverdome, from 1975 to 2001.
