West Olive, MI (WGHN) – Ottawa County Administrator Adeline Hambley keeps her job as administrative health officer. A preliminary injunction Tuesday ordered Ottawa County not to fire Hambley until the matter goes to trial.
Ottawa County Department of Public Health and Hambley received national recognition recently but that didn’t stop Ottawa County Commissioner Sylvia Rhodea from giving her and the department what some are saying was a backhanded compliment.

Rhodea also said that the Ottawa County Health Department advocates for comprehensive sexuality education,” and that is “That is radical sex-ed that is being pushed into our school.”

The OCDPH received the Jean Chabut Health Policy Champion Award from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and also received recognition from the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO).

No trial has been scheduled yet.
