(Lansing, MI) – Democrat Jocelyn Benson is leading all candidates in the race to be Michigan’s next governor in the latest poll from Glengariff Group. The current Secretary of State has 34-point-two-percent support, Republican Congressman John James is second with 29-point-two-percent, and independent former Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan is at 23-percent. If businessman Perry Johnson wins the GOP nomination, Benson leads him 34-percent to 26-percent, with Duggan’s support remaining at 23-percent.
The former Detroit mayor has lost support from Democrats and independents, but has gained backing from Republicans.
