(Brazil) – A study shows women with breast cancer greatly benefit from vitamin D. The research out of São Paulo State University in Brazil involved 80 women about to undertake chemotherapy treatment. One group got a daily dose on vitamin D. After six months, 43 percent of those women saw their cancer completely disappear compared to 24 percent of the women who did not get Vitamin D.
One of the study’s lead authors says Vitamin D is an accessible and inexpensive option compared to other drugs used to improve the response to chemotherapy.
